सिद्ध होने का तात्पर्य है – स्वयं की सक्षमता को पूर्ण रूप से समझकर उसका उपयोग करना | अष्ठ सिद्धि वर्णित हैँ हमारे पौराणिक शास्त्रों में |इनमें सबसे प्रथम सिद्धि है अणिमा सिद्धि जिसका अर्थ है स्वयं के अंदर के लघु गुण का आभास होना अनिवार्य है | ये आभास वाणी में हो सकता है या काया में | आभास मात्र से इस सिद्धि की प्रबलता का बोध हो जाता है, और मनुष्य इसका सदुपयोग करना निरंतर प्रयास से ही सीख पाता है |
