Blurred Realities

© tulip_brook

What meets the eye,
And escapes the vision,
What evades the vision,
And catches the eye,
Are all but versions of this reality,
One blurred in memory,
Another faded in cognition.
A labyrinth of notions,
An array of perceptions,
Creating a chimera,
In the minds of the observer,
And he keeps deciphering,
Pondering and contemplating,
Trying to clear this illusion,
Unravelling the layers,
Removing the dust,
Cleaning the stains,
Of these blurred realities.

Ode to the Divinity

Ever wondered why is there an urge to experience divinity? It is because we are not merely a part of it, but we are the divinity itself. An ode to the divinity- a poet’s rendition.

My experience with divinity

The Lines

The fragrance of this whiff,

Calm sandalwood infused incense,

The warmth of this fire,

Sacred oil lighted tangerine flame,

And, the gesture of these fingers,

Wise mudra signifying willingness,

That of a seeker, a learner.

A mortal’s completeness,

Is a journey towards divinity,

On a path of abandonment,

Traversed in a vehicle of discretion,

Between a phenomenal illusion,

And the truth of the neumona.

As I hold this breath,

And focus at the sacred fire,

Attuning my auditory faculties,

To the frequency of bliss,

I emerge from an abyss,

Like a vivacious spring,

Spurting into a beautiful form,

One of a mesmerizing divine aura,

And I stay there in equanimity,

Surpassing spatio-temporal limitations,

And merging with the limitless,

In the realms of cosmic existence,

The reality of the spirit-

Is this very experience,

This mortal physicality-

It is a frivolous occurrence.
